What’s not to love about GIANT macarons?
Or three desserts for $15?
Or sitting in the most beautiful of Sydney’s buildings, The Queen Victoria Building and sipping on a cappuccino?
There is a lot to love about my favourite little Sydney Foodie secret – Bacco Wine Bar Pasticceria.
Ok, so it’s not really a secret, it’s kind of really well known, but I hadn’t heard of it before I stumbled upon the little cafe in the QBV one afternoon with my family.
We thought we had entered 7th heaven when we spotted Bacco’s dessert display and then browsed the menu to find all sorts of Italian specialties like panini, cheese plates, antipasto and more.
How cool is it, that you can actually order a plate of cheese there? Just cheese.
I have had a salad there that was so delicious, generous and good value for money, packed with Persian Fetta and heaps of marinated chicken tenderloins – I have been back and had it twice since.
But mainly I like to go for the cakes. I have tried so many now and I think my favourite so far was a strawberry and coconut layered cake thingy….Mmmmmm….I love thingies.
But seriously, if you’re looking for somewhere special to go for afternoon tea or lunch, venture up to the top floor of the QVB and sneak a table at the Bacco Pasticerria. You won’t be sorry.
But don’t go late on Sunday afternoon…all the cakes are nearly gone and you will be very sad.
And keep you’re eye out for me…I’ll probably be there too.
