This was one of my first posts. Home made Pizza.
I have been making this pizza recipe every Friday night for at least two years.
I always thought we’d get sick of it, but we haven’t. It seems we’ve made one of our own family traditions in the process.
It’s a super simple yeast dough, that involves you combining flour, salt and yeast and mixing it with some warm water and olive oil.
The topping is up to you, but I highly recommend keeping it simple.
We use a combination of passata and store bought pasta sauce for the base, mozzarella cheese, fresh tomato slices, fresh basil and slices of salami or prosciutto.
Cook it in a blisteringly hot oven, on the top shelf.
I like to eat mine straight from the oven and hot, hot, hot – like some people like their meat pies.
