Salted Caramel – The Verdict

It seems there are two sides to this controversial culinary coin.

Those who enjoy the contradictory complexities of salted caramel.

And those who don’t.

At first I couldn’t believe it when the person (I won’t mention any names) told me they didn’t like the salted caramel macarons we were eating.

I thought they were simply being contrary, even controversial. After all, who wouldn’t love the taste of salted caramel?

But then as I came to discover more and more of these strange individuals who wouldn’t and didn’t, I realised that perhaps, they were really telling the truth.

And here’s something you might not know.

They secretly think it’s a case of the emperor’s new clothes (or candies, in this case).

They believe we lovers of the salted caramel are saying we like it just to fit into the latest foodie trend.

Which, I can safely say is codswallop because it is a deep and true love I have for this oxymoronic flavour.

But it tells us a lot about just how much these people do not like the flavour, they can’t even understand how we possibly can.

It’s seems salted caramel is a rather divisive predilection, not just a simple matter of live and let live, like and not like.

It is a case of Love vs. Hate.

So there it is. The truth has been revealed.

Some people really don’t like salted caramel.

And some really do.
